ABOUT
SHANE MACK
Shane Mack and his wife, Bridgett Kovach Mack, reside in Albany and have two children. Their son attends the University of Louisiana in Lafayette and their daughter attends Albany High School. The Macks are members of Bethlehem Baptist Church where Shane is a 6 th , 7 th , and 8 th Grade Sunday School Teacher and a member of the Media and Sound Team and the Church Council.
He is a graduate of Holden High School and Southeastern Louisiana University. Mack currently is employed as a Corporate Logistics Manager at a Fortune 500 Chemical Company.
He is a registered Republican, and a member of the Louisiana Republican State Central Committee, the Livingston Republican Parish Executive Committee, and the National Rifle Association.

LEADERSHIP & EXPERIENCE ON THE LIVINGSTON PARISH COUNCIL
Mack has served eight years on the Livingston Parish Council, and during that time he has been an active leader. He served two terms as Chairman of the Council and four terms as the Ordinance Committee Chair.
Mack also served two years on the Finance Committee.

Shane Mack has been a vocal leader of the moratoriums on Class V & Class VI Carbon Capture storage monitoring and injection wells planned for Lake Maurepas and North Holden.
He was also a strong opponent to raising taxes for the Mosquito Abatement Tax District for the rural areas of Livingston Parish.
“I spoke to, listened to, and agreed with our citizens that this was an unnecessary tax and I help defeat this tax.”
Mack has also been very successful in obtaining funds for his district and the parish. He fought for and helped successfully identify the funds to clean up debris and clear debris from rivers, creeks, and branches after the flood of 2016 and again after hurricane IDA in 2021.
Mack was also instrumental in funding a new water well North of Albany for the Fourth Ward Water District.

“When it comes to finding the funds to accomplish these infrastructure projects, I will dig and hunt to find the funds. This is exactly what I’ll do as State Representative for District 95.”
THE AGENDA
As a state representative, Mack will have a conservative, pro-family, and pro-business agenda.

Write and/or support legislation for increased teacher, law enforcement, and firemen salaries so our state is competitive with other states.

Write and/or support legislation that protects and enhances our state and local law enforcement agency’s ability to protect and keep our communities and schools safe and secure.

Work with local, state, and federal both elected and appointed officials to utilize Louisiana watershed initiative funding and grant funding for Livingston Parish Drainage Improvements and Flood Prevention.

Work with local, state, and federal, both elected and appointed officials to improve and fund infrastructure improvement projects such as widening of Florida Boulevard and extending Hwy. 449 to I-12.

Work with local, state, and federal, both elected and appointed officials, to ensure our elementary, secondary, and higher education curriculums best prepares our children for the future.

Oppose Critical Race Theory (CRT), but support a curriculum that does not discriminate, and honors and unites our community, our state, and our country.

Write and/or support legislation to reduce taxes and government expenses on businesses to enhance economic growth and attract businesses to come and do business in Louisiana.

Write and/or support legislation that allows and empowers businesses and church’s rights to open and operate without government interference.
